On May 12, 2023, the Government of Maharashtra released an official notification signaling a significant development regarding the Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Mumbai.

This notable update pertained to the allocation of a permanent plot of land, effectively facilitating the establishment of its independent campus.

The designated land, situated in Pahadi Goregaon Village near Versova Metro Station, has been carefully chosen for its suitability in creating top-tier facilities. Moreover, it boasts excellent accessibility through air, road, and rail networks, as highlighted by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dilip Ukey.

It is worth mentioning that the university had initially shared its campus with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) for a period of two years following its inception in 2014. Subsequently, it shifted its operations to the Centre for Excellence in Telecom Technology and Management located at Hiranandani Gardens in Powai, Mumbai.

However, with the recent acquisition of the permanent land, MNLU Mumbai is poised to establish its own distinct and thriving campus.
